It’s that time of year! Registration just began on December 26th, and we would to see some of our members competing in the Monument Avenue 10k.
We’ll be sponsoring two of our athletes to run in the 10k. This will be decided based on the performance on a running-based WOD on February 20th. The top male and female of the day will have their race entry paid for by CrossFit RVA.
How about training for the 10k in true CrossFit fashion? In addition to doing your CrossFit workouts with us, consider adding in workouts from CrossFit Endurance. CrossFit Endurance takes the general fitness base you have been preparing through your CrossFit workouts and focuses it on the fairly specific sports of endurance athletics. Far from the rather standard training schedules of many endurance athletes, CrossFit Endurance workouts use a wide range of distances and time intervals built into relatively short workouts. Better yet, their method is proven, as their athletes seem to do very well!
