That’s Mini-Mark rowing. Bet you can’t row a faster 2K than him.
In line with the excuses link that I posted yesterday, I want to tell you about me making excuses for myself and why you shouldn’t make excuses when it comes to your workouts.
Once upon a time, I was satisfied with the amount of weight that I could load onto a barbell and move through space. Relative to body weight, I thought I was strong. I got complacent with my lifts, and when it comes to your health, you should never be complacent.
After going to sectionals and seeing the incredible athletes and high work output that people were capable of, I came to an important realization: it doesn’t matter how big or small you are, be stronger, be faster, just be. If you barely weigh 100 lbs, lift heavy. If you weigh 200 lbs, lift heavy. Enjoy every PR that you achieve, but never be satisfied. Want more from yourself. Don’t be like me, don’t be suckered into complacency with your lifts because of some stupid body weight to barbell weight ratio. Go heavy, go hard, go home do it again.
