What do you think is the number one concern for girls (new and seasoned) at the gym? Body image and getting bulky. Body image I understand, humans are vain, I get it. But getting bulky and muscular? Give me a break. Heavy weights don’t bulk up the female athlete. For every girl you see on a magazine cover or on the internet that looks huge and diesel, there’s a thousand regular looking girls who CrossFit. Forget about getting huge, it’s not going to happen unless you put in some serious work and start juicing. I wish that your health was your primary concern, but if you want “tone”, then I can accept it as a means to an end. Get in the gym and lift something heavy and you’ll start toning your muscles.
