What Having A Plan Feels Like

One of the biggest things that makes the Performance program at RVA Performance Training a little different is that there’s always a PLAN.

We look at the year as a whole, and carve out 8-12 week cycles. Each cycle builds on the next. Within those cycles, we create a broad outline of what we want to work on, and how we’ll do it. And then we make that plan publicly available to our members.

We combine aspects of various modes of training into one cohesive program. We squat, press, and pull heavy weights to develop foundational strength. Most days incorporates accessory training to support our strength training while building balance and resilience. We pursue a high level of conditioning with a measured approach to high-intensity training.

For people like Dakota, this kind of training has meant staying engaged and consistent with her training.

“Performance has helped me gain a lot of confidence, skills, strength, and friends! Altogether I have become more consistent with my exercise routine, am excited to grow in each 12-week cycle, and have loved integrating into the community through member meetups and Swolestice!”

We couple our thoughtful approach to training with routine support from coaches in and out of class to support your fitness journey for the long run.

“ I love doing my 1:1s with Heather because she is so knowledgeable and easy to talk to.  It’s nice that she sees me in class, so she can give me new cues or tips as I progress through my goals.”
