PERFORMANCE RVA
The Performance RVA group classes are the backbone of what we do at RVA Performance Training, our Richmond, VA Gym
In a small group setting, we provide your exercise programming (warm-up, workout, and skill work) as well as instruction and supply all the necessary equipment.
This workout class in Richmond VA is a strength based approach to general fitness and functional life skills.
We combine aspects of different fitness modes including powerlifting, weightlifting, strongman, bodybuilding, and gymnastics while pursuing a high level of conditioning.
You will see varied movements daily and weekly, varied structures to workouts, but recurring benchmarks and a consistent focus on progressive strength cycles.
How do we train in Performance RVA?
Big3
Squat, push and pull for foundational strength training. We lift in structured strength cycles, using our experience as strength coaches to help you get stronger than ever.
Build
Accessory training for balance and resilience. Over many years we learned the importance of training with movements you may usually associate with bodybuilding or physical therapy.
Power
Wightlifting and plyometrics for speed. You'll learn to apply your strength and develop speed for the real world.
Move
Fundamental bodyweight training to control your own body. We use calisthenics and basic gymnastics to help you move confidently.
Burn
High intensity training for general conditioning. We train and measure our conditioning with highly-varied workouts, and measure our progress with routine benchmarks.
