This month we are going to have a different skills challenge each week, leading up to Christmas. We’ll also offer some prizes! This should be a lot of fun. Here’s how it will work:
Each member can attempt the skills once or twice per day. The skill challenge will run M-F. Each attempt of the “skill” must be counted by a trainer and should be done at either the beginning or ending of class. We will keep a running tally on the whiteboard throughout the week. The cost if free. To enter, you must simply attempt the skills!
Week 1: Consecutive Double Unders (12/2-12/6)
– Two attempts each day to complete as many unbroken double unders as possible. Once two attempts are made, each member is done for that day. Only double unders count in this contest. The winner of the double under contest will receive a bottle of TherOmega Sport fish oil!
Week 2: 500m Row (12/9-12/13)
– One attempt per day. The rower must be set to count down from 500m. This test must be done with a witness, not necessarily a trainer. Row as fast as you can! The male and female winner will receive a Hopper gift card!
Week 3: Max Broad Jump (12/16-12/20)
– Two attempts each day to complete a max broad jump. Members will start with both feet together and jump as far as possible while landing on both feet. If a member fails to stick the landing with both feet, the score is ZERO. Once two attempts are made, you are done for that day. The winner of max broad jump contest (M and F) will receive a Crossfit RVA hoodie.
